As I write this, the world’s turmoil increases. Since my last Newsmail the impending war between Israel and the surrounding nations has moved ever closer. The world holds its breath as airlines begin to cancel their flights to Tel Aviv, wondering what will happen next as Iran flexes its muscles and Israel is ever-ready to defend itself.

God has already blessed the work of Gates of Hope International (GOHI) in ways beyond anything we could have ever dreamt of or imagined. When, in response to the prayers of many people, the Holy Spirit led us to establish GOHI as a relational network of thirteen international ministries we had no idea what might unfold in the days to come.

A few months ago my wife, Fiona, bought a bag of Harris Tweed cloth remnants for a friend. The next time we saw her she was wearing an amazing jacket, entirely made of the remnants carefully sewn together to provide covering, warmth and protection. It was brilliant!
