Dear GOHI Friends,

A Brief Update

God is opening so many doors for GOHI that I wish I still had the energy of a much younger man! But, Praise God, the next generation of GOHI leaders around the world are stepping out in faith to grasp the opportunities and do the work.

While Fiona and I will always do whatever we can, our primary role now is to encourage the troops on the ground and generate the provision with which to fund these pioneering ventures and support those ministries where local funding is an impossibility.

The Arab World

In my last letter I highlighted the extraordinary opportunity there was to teach and train Arab leaders from 22 different nations in Turkey. Since then, Sameh and Liz, our Arab World leaders, have been in Lebanon, a nation in fear because of a possible all-out war, teaching about worship, healing and deliverance, holding healing retreats for Syrians, Iraqis and Lebanese and encouraging the saints in the far south of the country near the Israel border in Hezbollah territory.

Liz writes, in a message which sounded like an extract from ‘The Book of Acts 2024’:

“The Gates of Hope have been flung wide open in Lebanon. God visited us with His grace and mercy as we taught how important praise and worship is in every situation – far beyond anything that we could have ever expected. Then 200 came for a two-day healing retreat. The people were hungry and in need. We ministered long into the night. Many were healed, set free and delivered. It was a week of total blessing – such an honour to be here to serve these people. God is doing something very special in this land.”

Please pray for Sameh and Liz as they continue their hidden work in a different Arab World country.

Romania Feedback

And even as I was typing this letter, my wife, Fiona, reported from Elpis (Hope) Ministries in Romania that “the Lord is breaking out here big time”. She has been leading a two-day Healing from Trauma conference in Cluj, which was then relayed by Zoom to large groups in three other major centres in Romania. Here is an extract from Fi’s report:

“Around two hundred came from all over Romania, and some from Moldova and Bulgaria. We witnessed a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit. As the teaching flowed, hearts were opened and, in demonstration ministry, the Lord gave major breakthroughs to the two who were being prayed for. In a corporate ministry session, the Lord lead me specifically to pray in certain areas. It was a very powerful time with many being deeply impacted. The place was full of peace and joy as the Holy Spirit did His healing work, and at the same time equipping the team with vital healing keys.”

These are really exciting days as God is steadily establishing Gates of Hope International through powerful outpourings of the Holy Spirit. There is a freshness in the anointing on the work which reminds me of times forty years ago when the presence of the Lord was tangible in the meetings. We were acutely aware then of walking on holy ground.

And once again, we can echo the words of Joel when he said “Surely the Lord has done great things” (Joel 2:21) and “Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days” (Joel 2:29).
