Fantastic News!

21st September 2025 – A Very exciting day

“The Lord builds up Jerusalem, he gathers the exiles of Israel. He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:2-3)

The 21^st September 2025 was a very significant day for Gates of Hope International. After many years of seeing the work develop and grow in Israel, under Steve’s leadership, on this day we were able to conclude the first Board Meeting of the Directors of Gates of Hope Vineyard, the official name (in English) of our new Israeli Charity, now officially constituted with the approval of the Israeli Government!

GOHI now has both legal and spiritual authority to operate as a registered Israeli charity and, even more importantly, for the very first time this gives us the legal right to establish a permanent place in the land as the home of the Sha’arei Tikva Vineyard. That’s the next step! A home for Arab Christians and Messianic Jews togethe to receive teaching, training and healing.

When, in 2008, I spoke at the very first healing and deliverance conference within the Old City walls of Jerusalem itself, there was a major move of God and healings which inspired the birth of the ministry. Steve was then called by the Lord from the UK to be the pioneering leader. With a Jewish heritage, he then came to live in Israel and resides in the land with his Jewish wife and family.

A New Vineyard for Lasting Fruit

“I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit – fruit that will last” (John 15:16)

Until now Steve has led the ministry as an extension of the work in the UK with the support of some local Messianic leaders. He has built up a faithful team from the modular schools and other events through the years. The use of creativity at healing retreats has helped many receive a breakthrough in their healing, as have other specialist courses.

In this new season, he has become a founding Director of the legally authorised charity. When we concluded our meeting it felt as though a huge step forward in spiritual authority had taken place. Paul, one of the Board Members, said it seems as though till now we have observed our ‘promised land’ from the other side of the Jordan, but now we have crossed over and the work can really begin to flourish!

The Israeli Government required that the name Sha’arei Tikva (Hebrew for Gates of Hope) should be added to, with a descriptive word. Vineyard was an obvious choice – a place of fruitfulness for the Kingdom of God.

An Esther Ministry

This truly is an Esther ministry – one that is called into being for such a time as this – for Israel is a nation that is traumatised by war and desperately in need of the healing that only Yeshua can bring.

One of our Board Members, Avishalom, a long-standing pastor in the Messianic community of Israel, said: “Sha’arei Tikva has reached deep and wide into The Body of Messiah in Israel. The humility and integrity with which Steve and his team conduct themselves is evident to all and they have earned the trust of many.

Since October 7th, Israel has been met with unprecedented attacks from many fronts in the longest season of war it has ever faced. Consequently, our nation has been under emotional, psychological, and spiritual overload. The weekend healing retreats that Sha’arei Tikva organize are amazing, at helping many to find healing and relief in Yeshua.”

Building the Kingdom – One Life at a Time

The call on the Body of Yeshua to heal the broken hearted, set the captives free and make disciples is at the very heart of our work. There was a huge excitement in my spirit as we concluded this first Board meeting by Zoom. It was as if God was putting His seal on plans that have been in process for generations!

As Steve and his team move forward with the work, especially ministering to people traumatised by the war at creativity workshops, we would covet your prayers for the developing ministry in Israel. Please pray that the Lord will show them where God intends the home of the Sha’arei Tikva Vineyard to be and how it can be established.
