GOHI June Newsmail 2026

Dear GOHI Friends,
I once climbed a steep mountain range. All the way to the top I marvelled at the elevated view of where I had come from. Hurdles which were major obstructions on the way up were nothing but a blip in the far distance as I surveyed the pathway I had trodden.
Then as I cleared the mountain ridge a totally new vista opened up before me, as the grandeur and beauty of the land which lay ahead was revealed. It was magnificent. On the ridge you could see both ways – with awe and thanksgiving for the journey so far and eager anticipation for what lay ahead.
That is exactly how I now feel about GOHI! We have been on a steady upward climb as the Lord has put down solid foundations for the work, which has been spreading from one nation to another around the world. And I am now eagerly anticipating what lies ahead.
Swiss Leaders Training Conference
Our special Leaders’ Training Conference in Switzerland, at the end of July, will be a watershed for the ministry. A carefully chosen gathering of next generation leaders will be brought up to speed and trained in how to most effectively minister salvation, healing and deliverance. This is a huge initiative with potentially major growth for the Kingdom of God.
We are deeply grateful to all those who have donated funds to make this possible and ensure that all those who have no funds of their own, but need to be there, can have their flights and accommodation paid for. On behalf of all those who will be blessed by your giving – thank you.
The needs of people today far exceed those that were prevalent when I set out in ministry over forty years ago. Societal disillusion, wars and their consequences, growth of AI replacing human beings in the work force, widespread multi-faith issues, mental health needs of young people and a myriad other issues, have all made the need for a deep understanding of Christian healing to be central to evangelistic endeavours.
We are reliving the days of Jesus when He sent the disciples out to proclaim the Kingdom of God, heal the sick and cast out demons. This is how the early church grew. We have come full circle – for this is how, once again, the church will grow. These are challenging but exciting days for GOHI, as we survey the view that lies ahead.
It is such a privilege in this latter season of our lives to have the opportunity of imparting truth, vision and faith to those who will be treading pathways to glory, long after our days on Earth are over!
Prayer and the Providence of God
Prayer matters! I love reading the stories of missionary pioneers who made pathways for the Kingdom of God on the back of the intercessions of the saints. One night a missionary personally supported by my family was in great and life-threatening danger. The following day she was accosted by a local gang-leader as to where she had got the twelve soldiers who were guarding their property the night before. She had no human soldiers, but on that very night, half a world away in Bolton, England, there were just twelve people at the regular prayer meeting which supported her work. God had intervened through the intercessors.
I cannot ever forget these first-hand stories of the providence and protection of God. And it is with a joyful heart, therefore, that I invite you to be an intercessory army who will stand with us in the ministry – especially during the Leaders’ Training Conference – and be the ‘soldiers’ that stand in their place as warriors for the King.
Between now and the Swiss conference, Julie Smith, Fiona and I will be leading a team to Canada to spend ten days teaching and training the supporters and helpers at Prairie Winds. We need your prayers for youthful stamina to be rediscovered as we teach a concentrated series of courses and events!
At the same time our teams in Israel, the Middle Eastern Arab world, Asia, India and parts of Europe are all currently actively involved in the harvest field, some in very dangerous territory, even as I write. I am deeply humbled by the sacrifice of lives laid down for the gospel. God has given and blessed GOHI with very fine leaders who do not count the cost of being a disciple of Jesus.
We look forward to sharing more with you following our time in Switzerland, telling of some of fruit which is multiplying in the nations. These are unprecedented days for proclaiming the Kingdom and doing the work of the Gospel – it really is very good news!
With love from all the GOHI Leaders as we press into all that lies before us as we set out on the next stage of the GOHI journey!
