Carrying the Hope Forward

Dear GOHI Friends,
An Expanding Vision
Thank you so very much to everyone who has already caught the vision for the special GOHI Leaders Training School in Switzerland in July, and sent donations to help pay the costs of those most in need of the training. A steady stream of new leaders are joining the ministry and as the work grows, it’s vital that everyone is able to receive the essential foundational training that has proved so powerful in bringing God’s healing to His people.
We are now well over half way towards the £20,000 we need to fund the flights and accommodation costs of those who cannot fund themselves, and are praying daily that when the time comes we will have enough to make it possible for all those who need the training to be there. We are especially concerned for those who are working in very challenging political and spiritual situations. For example, across the Middle East, Eastern Europe, India and the Chinese peoples in many different countries.
I have always been impacted by the time Jesus took to train those first disciples. Long ago I realized that my primary calling was to train people to be effective leaders and ministers. Good shepherds can care for many sheep! I am deeply grateful to all those who share this vision and have contributed towards the need. I am praying that many more will want to help by pressing the Donate button at the foot of this Newsmail.
Looking Back and Moving Forward
In the early days of my ministry I travelled far and wide sharing and ministering the good news that Jesus came to save, heal, deliver and set the captives free – just as Isaiah had prophesied in Isaiah 61:1-3. I have recently been looking through some of the correspondence from those early days and have had to choke back the tears on numerous occasions as I remembered with thanksgiving times when we saw the miraculous healing power of God change and transform broken lives.
I am no longer able to travel as much as I used to, instead it is now my enormous privilege to encourage the next generations to carry the work forward. I love hearing the stories and testimonies from the many different GOHI leaders who are pioneering and taking strategic ground for the Kingdom of God in so many different parts of the world.
Every month we have a corporate Zoom call with all the leaders and this last week, one after another after another shared their experiences of God at work in their midst. It was exhilarating to hear their testimonies and realise that the Acts of the Apostles, or rather, the Acts of the Holy Spirit through the Apostles, are not only stories from a divine history book, but are happening today – in Poland, Romania and other nations of Eastern Europe, across the Muslim nations of North Africa, in Asia, India, Israel and many more. I am astonished at how God has raised up GOHI to continue this precious work.
And here in the UK, the Living Bridge team of former Pierrepont ministry team members are continuing to bring hope and healing to many, as they travel from place to place, sharing the life-changing truths which so powerfully blessed many people at Pierrepont.
It feels as though GOHI is on the cusp of an explosion of God’s blessing as He opens doors to completely new places and ministries.
Our Living Hope
At the beginning of his first epistle, Peter refers to how the Gospel gives “new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter 1:3). Put simply, that is the core of the Christian message and it is the motivating vision that lies at the heart of GOHI.
Thank you so much for your loving support and encouragement as we press on with the work God has given us to do.
Every blessing in Jesus

Peter
