Man Healed as Jill Teaches

Jesus has healed me!

When I was aged 13 I was diagnosed with Perthe’s disease, a serious condition of the hip joint. I spent 6 months in a Childrens Hospital on Traction, lying very still on a tilted bed with heavy weights attached to my legs. After 4 months I was operated on and I spent 6 weeks in a half body plaster.  This left me with a serious limp and, growing up, I developed curvature of the spine and was in continuous lower back pain with my left leg was now over one inch shorter than my right.

Around 20 years ago an X ray showed that my hip joint was now deformed and I had a hip replacement. Amazingly they were able to extend my left leg by nearly an inch, but I still walked unevenly and had serious back pain.

I regularly attend Beacon Elim Church and Jill Southern was sharing about the new work that God was leading her into, which she called ‘Pierrepont Without Walls’. The original Pierrepont was a healing and deliverance centre that had recently been sold.

As Jill shared about this new work and prayed for us, a thought came to mind that I should ask the Lord for a leg extension. Shortly afterwards I realised that my leg had grown and my knees were now in different positions!  I am so grateful for God’s tender mercies towards me – I can now walk without disabling back pain and enjoy blissful sleep as I no longer have to sleep with a cushion or hot water bottle in my back.  

I believe that this was a sign of encouragement to Jill and the church fellowship that God is going to greatly bless this new work, and we can expect a powerful outpouring of his Holy Spirit through it.
