Amazing News Update from GOHI Arab World Ministries

Ground-breaking Conference of Arab Nations

We write this with hearts brimming over with praise and thankfulness to the Lord for the amazing conference we have just held in the Middle East: an incredible, groundbreaking event, a time of huge encouragement as Peter Horrobin, powerfully anointed by the Holy Spirit, taught and ministered to pastors and leaders from all over the Middle East.

These courageous men and women of God came with a desperate hunger for truth and, were so richly blessed that by the end many were expressing a longing for extended training. We can be sure the Lord hears their heart cries, so we are fervently seeking Him, asking Where? When? How, Lord? and waiting now with baited breath for Him to unfold His plan for the continuation of the good work He has begun.

Strong relationships and friendships were forged at the conference, opening up new opportunities to mentor and pray one-to-one with pastors and leaders, not only in North Africa (which we are already very blessed to be doing) but even into the Gulf area.

Across North Africa and Beyond

The Lord has also led us to minister in a Centre in North Africa for people suffering with addictions. Only this week, we spent a day with these desperate people, and were incredibly blessed to witness Him powerfully delivering many as they expressed deep repentance, crying as little children returning to their Heavenly Father.

Another wonderful opportunity we are regularly blessed with, is teaching young people who come in great numbers to youth meetings. We train them, not only in healing and deliverance, but also in how to live a holy lifestyle, honouring to the Lord, in these End Time days before Jesus returns.

Looking to the future, plans are in place for an imminent 9-day trip to the Middle East to a place where great shaking is taking place and war very close. We have been invited to run a 2-day course for 26 worship leaders there, and will then go on to teach a weeklong course on deliverance and how to minister effectively into the consequences of accident and trauma, which is so needed in this region. The attendees from six Pentecostal churches will be taking what they have heard to share the good news of the gospel and pray with their families and friends and out on the streets in their home towns.  

From there, we will be travelling to another North African country visiting different cities, following an invitation to go and encourage pastors, whose churches have been closed by the authorities. Our heart is to encourage them to go back to their first love, to go back to the jungles, the mountains and the desert and to pray as the Holy Spirit first led them in the 1990’s, which precipitated true revival and many being saved in this nation. This is a huge task, but we are full of expectation, that as we humble ourselves and worship and pray, there will be another great move of God.

The Work Spreads – in Egypt and Further Afield

In Egypt we are blessed that each member of our team is growing in serving the Lord in the calling He has given them. Each couple has gathered their own team around them and begun their own ministries: one group doing a precious work with Sudanese refugees, another running a much-needed food bank, and another tenderly ministering to pastors who have been hurt and reached burnout.  

We are so encouraged and incredibly thankful for all the Lord is doing to bring His glorious light and life into our region, which for so long has been covered in darkness. Our prayer is that you will be blessed and encouraged too. We are very aware that the days are short now, and our heart is to do all we can to honour the Lord and make the most of this time, working while there is still day, that many precious people will get to know Him and be saved for eternity, and there will be more worshippers around the throne worshipping Jesus who has paid the ultimate price at the Cross.

There is huge openness here across the Middle East. We would covet your prayers for the work. God is lighting ‘spiritual wildfires’ and people’s lives are being set alight by the Holy Spirit. God is opening new Gates of Hope for us to walk through on a daily basis. We are finding it hard to keep up with what He is doing!
