God Loves Remnants!
“The surviving remnant of God’s people will again take root downwards and bear fruit upwards.” (Isaiah 37:31-32)
A few months ago my wife, Fiona, bought a bag of Harris Tweed cloth remnants for a friend. The next time we saw her she was wearing an amazing jacket, entirely made of the remnants carefully sewn together to provide covering, warmth and protection. It was brilliant!
The vision God has given GOHI is to enable the knitting together of believers from all denominations, who share the same Kingdom truths and together provide a covering for God’s people and who, through unity of heart, prayer and giving are building God’s Kingdom in these end-time days.
The history of God’s people tells how faithful remnants were a golden thread throughout Scripture, fulfilling the purposes of God. In Nehemiah’s day, for example, it was the remnant who had been left behind in Jerusalem who worked with Nehemiah to rebuild the walls and restore the gates.
Today, GOHI, is rebuilding the walls of a precious ministry that is now bursting out in many different parts of the world. As the roots go deep down into His Word, we are already seeing the evidence of abundant fruit as is illustrated by our Scripture from Isaiah 37.
Living Bridge Ministries
And last Saturday we were thrilled to see the launch of the new UK Charity, Living Bridge Ministries, bringing together the remnants of the former Pierrepont ministry team, under Jill Southern’s leadership, as part of Gates of Hope International.
This living bridge is now open for traffic!
The Pierrepont Estate was bought by the RCCG (Redeemed Christian Church of God) for their national campground and conference centre. And it was the new leaders of this work, Pastor David Jimoh and his wife Lola, who warmly welcomed everyone back to Redemption Camp, Pierrepont for this ground-breaking launch conference.
It was a wonderful and very healing day for the team as they set their sights on the vision God has given them to take the Kingdom message of healing and deliverance to the churches in the Greater London area and the UK.
Middle East Exploits
While the war rages between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, the whole nation of Israel is deeply traumatised by the ongoing harrowing events subsequent to 7th October last year. Holding normal healing retreats and training courses is impossible, so Sha’arei Tikva, GOHI’s ministry in Israel, is now preparing an online training and ministry experience to bring God’s hope and healing to His people in a land where people are very reluctant to travel far from home.
And while this pioneering work in Israel gets under way, GOHI’s Arab World Ministries is seeing God open some extraordinary doors for evangelism and healing among the ‘sons of Ishmael’, right across the Arabic speaking world.
Right now we are making preparations for a special Arabic speaking Leaders’ Course, teaching and training how to incorporate healing and deliverance with evangelism. We will video everything so that the teaching can be taken behind closed doors across the Moslem world. This will be a costly endeavour, but we are trusting the Lord to provide the resources to make this possible. I believe this will produce great fruit for the Kingdom in this region.
GOHI Leaders’ Conference
From the 10th to the 17th July most of the GOHI leaders will be meeting in Switzerland for the first GOHI Leaders Conference. This will be a very important time of fellowship and intercession as we look to the Lord for His clear leading as to the doors He wants us to walk through taking hope to His people. We will really value your prayers for this event for we are expecting it to be a significant time of planning and intercession for the future work of GOHI.
