Multiplying the Vision

Dear Friends of Gates of Hope International,

Thank you so much for all the love, support and prayers you have shown towards Gates of Hope International. It is such a privilege to be involved in a ministry that is truly changing people’s lives and bringing them hope and healing in these extraordinary times.

There is a war on!  But I am not referring to the cataclysmic events now taking place across the Middle East, but to a much more cataclysmic eternal war that not only engulfs the nations of the Middle East, but the whole of humanity.

It’s a war that began in Genesis Chapter 3 with the fall of man and which will only conclude when the events of Revelation 20 are finally fulfilled. This war embraces 1185 chapters and 30,998 verses of the Bible – only Genesis 1 & 2 and Revelation 21 & 22, the beginning and the end, escape its influence!

Heaven’s glory awaits, but right now, as the pages of prophetic history are being turned before our very eyes, God’s people must be deeply involved in running a rescue shop beside the gates of Hell! Bringing salvation, healing and deliverance to those who are seeking the Lord and who are in need of Him is the eternal purpose of the church – and it is the primary reason that God raised up Gates of Hope International as an end-times ministry to the Body of Christ. The days are dark and the times are urgent.

That is exactly, for example, what Sameh and Liz, our Arab World leaders, have been doing across the Muslim world in this past twelve months in Egypt, Lebanon, Algeria, Morocco and Jordan. It is a massive harvest field for the Kingdom and the fruit has been amazing. But the labourers are few, they need help, and we cannot ignore the cries for help from believers in all those countries, and in many other parts of the world also.

Similarly in Israel where, even in the midst of war, we are working to bring healing from the ongoing traumas. And in Eastern Europe, Russia, India and Asia as well.

Raising up the Next Generation

While the work is touching people in many parts of the world, we are limited in what we can do without more workers on the ground – multiplication of our calling can only take place through God raising up more trained workers. So, last year, at our GOHI Leaders conference in Switzerland, we took the faith step of planning a major training event for this year, so that we could teach, train and equip those who respond to the call, in how to minister salvation, healing and deliverance to many of the broken and traumatised people in today’s world.

And at the same time we would capture the teaching on video so that it can be used time and time again right across the world. I was deeply impacted this week by Psalm 22:30-31 which says that “future generations will be told about the Lord. They will proclaim his righteousness to a people yet unborn.” As I read these words I realized that everything we do to record vital material and put the teaching in books is not just for now – but is, indeed, to teach the generations to come as well as meet the needs in people’s lives today.

We Asked the Lord of the Harvest

Jesus urged us to “ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest field.” That is what we did and He has answered our prayers. We now know of about thirty-five active leaders from across the nations – the Middle East, Israel, Eastern Europe, North Africa, India and Asia who want to work with us in GOHI, but they need training – in a safe place to learn and grow, away from the intense spiritual and physical pressures many of them live under every day.  We also know some Pastors, who are called to this work and are in a position to influence and train many others, will also be coming. The course will take place in Switzerland, immediately following our annual GOHI Leaders Conference at the end of July.

In teaching this group we will be preparing and producing the material which will remain alive for years and even generations to come. And to make that possible we need your help – to get them there, pay for their food and accommodation and to record the teaching and produce the videos.

We estimate that the average cost of travel, food and accommodation and training will be about £1000 per person. Not a huge sum these days but significant nevertheless. Many of these people are self-funded mission workers with no regular income and we need to help them. They are people whose lives have already been transformed by the power of the living God and are very motivated to share with others what God has already done for them. The additional cost of recording, editing and producing the videos and audio recordings will be about £6000. I don’t look on these expenses as a cost, but as an investment – an investment with an eternal return.

Our Invitation to Multiply this Vision Together
